Pet Venturer offer unrivalled group dog walking and daycare local to Exmouth. Walks are off lead and tailored to breed specific fun, games, enrichment and similar energy levels. The widely varied walks span from Woodbury Common, Bicton Common, Exmouth Beach and Exe estuary.
Pick ups for dog walking are in Exmouth and surrounding areas and are limited to small groups.
With years of experience with all breeds, little and large and as an animal keeper, study in canine psychology and training and a particular interest in animal behaviour, i ensure your pets well-being and happiness is paramount and for the benefit of your pets welfare and your peace of mind I am fully insured, first aid trained and have a commercial walking license with the Pebblebed Heaths Conservation Trust. About Pet Venturer
Pet Venturer is currently offering walking slots and **new** daycare for local dogs with pick up and drop off which are run by myself, Leanne. Initial trials are always required to make sure your dog will be at ease with us and a new environment and of course to ensure that you are happy too.
Dogs and puppies are taught the basic commands to enable them off-lead when I am comfortable they are fully in tune with me.
Credentials
Pet Venturer has been awarded best dog walker in Exmouth for 2024!
I hold a commercial dog walking license, boarding licensing, full insurance and qualifications in dog behaviour, canine psychology and Zoology. I also hold canine and pet first aid, canine nutrition, canine search and rescue and dog training certificates.
Experience
I have worked with rescue dogs and pedigrees professionally and many other animals for over 20 years and have a specific interest in animal behaviour and training.
My experience as an animal keeper and pet professional has been in rescue kennels, animal boarding kennels and catteries, pet shops, zoos, farms, professional dog walking and i worked in daycare, hydrotherapy and grooming salons in London for 4 years where i walked dogs in Richmond Park and did boarding, a little grooming and petsitting too.
I've handled some puppy and kitten litters too and I have worked as a keeper at Beale Park, World of country life and Greendale Farm.
Benefits
You will get a designated weekly slot(s) or day for daycare and your dog will be picked up and dropped home around the same time routinely, eagerly awaiting being picked up and going on a ride with their buddies and building their confidence.
Your dog will be loved and cared for, get social interaction and stimulation with other dogs, for a full hour, playtime, a walk on Woodbury Common, the beaches or parks and a cool down dip when needed. They get basic recall training with a qualified professional. I do positive reinforcement training with all the dogs i look after to teach them and bond with them. Puppy walks will include training so they can be introduced to the group walks when they're up to a full hour walk. I ensure your dog has my devoted attention by tending to their individual needs and I assess their behaviour for their welfare and happiness. And they will be dropped back to you clean after a fun time out.
You also get a discount for a second dog, 2 walks in a day and a free walk for both of you when you recommend a friend!
Conditions
Young puppies and Seniors considered since they need to be medium energy to be integrated into a group walk. Puppies walks are tailored until old enough to be introduced. Walks are Monday to Friday only.
I require all dogs to be micro-chipped, fully up to date with their vaccinations and flea and tick treatments. Dogs must be sociable and of medium energy levels for mixing into the balanced group dynamic.
Unfortunately we cannot accept un-neutered males, females whilst in season or any aggressive behaviours and I'm afraid I cant take on dogs with behavioural issues as I am managing several dogs at the same time in a group environment, they need to be well trained.
Behavioural issues must be dealt with one on one with a behaviourist.
Please be aware that free trial bookings are planned around and of limited availability so last minute cancellations are now chargeable.
