Pet Venturer walks are run by myself, Leanne. 

 I have worked with rescue dogs and pedigrees professionally and many other animals for over 20 years and trained in canine psychology and zoology with a specific interest in animal behaviour and training. 

 

My experience as an animal keeper and pet professional has been in rescue kennels, animal boarding kennels and catteries, pet shops, zoos, farms, professional dog walking and i worked in daycare, hydrotherapy and grooming salons in London for 4 years where i walked dogs in Richmond Park and did boarding, a little grooming and petsitting too.  I grew up with plenty of different birds, rodents, amphibians and insects and I’ve experienced a few puppy and kitten litters so I have plenty of experience in looking after different animals. I have worked as a keeper at Beale Park, World of country life and Greendale Farm.

We are fully insured, with canine and pet first aid and canine nutrition certifications. I am able to administer medicines and have experience in canine search and rescue and a dog training certificate. I always teach dogs and puppies the basic commands to then walk them off-lead when I am comfortable they are fully in tune with me.

We are also 4* licensed for home dog boarding, now exclusively for our regular walked dogs only. Boarding is offered as an alternative to dog kennels for dogs who are already familiarised with us. Your dog will stay overnight with us, be cared for individually, tending to their personality quirks, within a small social group and they will be treated like one of the family in our  home whilst you are away. We have an enclosed, secure garden a short walk from Exmouth beach and Phear park.

I ensure your dog has my devoted attention by tending to their individual needs and I assess their behaviour for their welfare and happiness. Your dog will be loved and cared for, get social interaction and stimulation with other dogs, playtime, a walk on Woodbury Common, the beaches or parks and get basic recall training, they will also get the opportunity to relax and have calm time and

lots of cuddles. I do positive reinforcement training with all the dogs i look after to teach them and bond with them.

Initial trials are always required to make sure your dog will be at

ease with us and a new environment (boarding requires an overnight stay with us) and of course to ensure that you are happy too.

We require all dogs to be micro-chipped, fully up to date with their vaccinations and flea and tick treatments. Dogs must be sociable and of medium energy levels for mixing into the balanced group dynamic.

Young puppies and Seniors considered since the group cannot be left alone for them to be walked solo.

Unfortunately we cannot accept un-neutered males, females whilst in season or any aggressive behaviours.
